Laura Obehi means crowned with honor (or laurel crowned) in God’s hands! Laura was born in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to the United States with her family at the age of seven. She grew up in the midst of different cultures, which taught her to love diversity, and appreciate the uniqueness in people.
Laura was a student athlete for most of her adolescent years, and ran track at the collegiate level. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles. As part of her transition to a different industry of work, she completed an MA in Theology degree, with a focus in Pastoral Counseling, from Fuller Theological Seminary. Laura has also received training in Sex Industry Outreach and Care from Treasures, Post Abortion Recovery training from No Longer Bound, and Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM)® Level 1 training from Trauma Resource Institute.
Although some dreams are difficult to achieve, Laura is an optimistic supporter, and strives to encourage and challenge those around her to pursue their God given desires. Her experiences in customer service, sports, business, banking, law enforcement, education, event management, and non-profit, make her relatable and open to new ideas. Laura currently resides in Los Angeles, where she works in higher education. When not working she enjoys resting, TV, traveling, and walking. In whatever field of work she finds herself in, Laura hopes to encourage, inspire, and motivate people in whatever season they are currently in.
